Terms of Service
By using MyLaserTools.com, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Effective June 6, 2026. Last updated June 23, 2026.
1. Use of the Service
MyLaserTools.com provides tools to generate SVG, STL, and 3MF files for laser cutting, engraving, and 3D printing. You are granted a free, non-exclusive license to use the generated files for both personal and commercial purposes, including the creation and sale of physical products. Digital resale or redistribution of generated files requires a Pro commercial license or written permission from MyLaserTools.
1a. Map Designer Data and Services
Map Designer may use third-party and public geospatial data sources, including OpenStreetMap, Copernicus DEM, GLOBathy bathymetry data, GeoNames city data, and Mapbox place search. These sources may have separate license, attribution, notice, storage, and acceptable-use requirements. Your rights to use map-based exports are subject to those third-party terms in addition to these Terms.
You are responsible for including required map-data attribution when publicly displaying, distributing, selling, or otherwise sharing map-based designs. Do not extract, bulk download, cache, resell, redistribute, or create a separate database from third-party map or search data except as the applicable provider permits.
Bathymetry (water-depth) layers are derived from real public-domain and third-party survey and modeled data, processed and stylized for artistic and decorative design use only. Depths, contours, shorelines, and other features are approximate, may be interpolated, modeled, simplified, out of date, or inaccurate, and must not be relied upon. Map, topography, and bathymetry layers are provided for creative design use. They are not nautical charts, navigational aids, surveying products, legal boundary records, engineering data, emergency guidance, or safety-critical information, and must not be used for navigation or any purpose where life, safety, or property could be at risk.
Geospatial and bathymetry data are provided "as is." Neither MyLaserTools nor the underlying data providers make any guarantee or warranty, express or implied, concerning the accuracy, completeness, condition, or fitness of the data for any particular purpose. The burden of determining fitness for use lies entirely with you. In no event shall MyLaserTools or any data provider have any liability whatsoever for any consequential, incidental, indirect, special, or other damages of any kind, including but not limited to any loss of profits, arising out of the use of or reliance on this data.
2. User Accounts
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to create an account or use features that require one. By using MyLaserTools, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow them to create accounts.
Account Creation
You may create an account using either:
- Email address and password
- Google OAuth (third-party authentication)
By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:
- Use a strong, unique password for your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Not share your account credentials with others
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hi@mylasertools.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
2a. Paid Features and Billing
Some features, including Map Designer Pro, require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and processed by our payment provider, Polar, acting as the Merchant of Record. Polar is the seller of record at checkout, issues your invoice, and collects any applicable taxes. MyLaserTools does not store your full payment card details.
Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically at the then-current price at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The price, billing period, and renewal date are shown before you purchase. We will give reasonable notice of any change to your renewal price.
You can cancel at any time from your account or through the Polar customer portal. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current paid period and does not renew again. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Pro provides immediate access to digital tools and files. Any statutory cooling-off or withdrawal rights are handled in line with Polar's checkout terms as Merchant of Record, and mandatory consumer protections that apply to you always continue to apply.
Paid access remains available while your subscription is active, trialing, past due during payment recovery, or scheduled to cancel at the end of the current billing period. Access may end when the subscription is revoked, unpaid, or fully expired.
Active Pro subscribers receive a commercial license to distribute and resell generated SVG, STL, and 3MF files, including modified versions and digital bundles, for files generated while their Pro subscription is active. Map Designer exports remain subject to any applicable third-party data attribution and license requirements.
3. Attribution (Optional)
Attribution is not required but always appreciated. If you wish to credit us:
"Design generated with MyLaserTools.com"
You may include this on product listings, packaging, documentation, or anywhere appropriate.
4. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership over the physical products you create using files from MyLaserTools.com. However, all tools, templates, and the underlying designs remain the intellectual property of MyLaserTools.com. Unless the files are covered by a Pro commercial license or written permission from MyLaserTools, you may not resell, redistribute, or share the generated files themselves, whether in original or modified form, as digital products or downloadable assets.
5. Prohibited Use
- Do not use the site to create or promote harmful, illegal, or discriminatory content.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer or misuse the generation tools.
- Do not resell access to the site.
- Do not resell generated digital files unless they are covered by a Pro commercial license or written permission from MyLaserTools.
- Do not upload, process, or use images, photos, or artwork that you do not own or do not have explicit permission to use. You are solely responsible for ensuring you hold the necessary rights to any content you upload.
- Do not use the tools to reproduce, adapt, or create derivatives of copyrighted material without authorization from the rights holder.
5a. User-Uploaded Content
Some tools on MyLaserTools.com allow you to upload images or other files for processing. By uploading content, you confirm that:
- You own the image or have obtained the necessary rights or permissions to use it.
- Your use of the image does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or moral rights.
- You accept full responsibility for any claims arising from your use of uploaded content.
MyLaserTools.com does not store your images and accepts no liability for any infringement resulting from user-uploaded material.
5b. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content processed or shared through MyLaserTools.com infringes your copyright, email us at hi@mylasertools.com with the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material and enough detail for us to locate it (such as a shared design link).
- Your contact information (name, email address).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to infringing material where appropriate, and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
6. Availability & Changes
MyLaserTools.com is offered "as is." We may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. While we strive for uptime and quality, we make no guarantees regarding availability or performance.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
MyLaserTools.com and all tools, files, data, and content it provides are offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, that any defects will be corrected, or that the files it generates will meet your requirements or be suitable for your equipment, materials, or intended use. You are solely responsible for testing every design and verifying that it meets the safety and technical standards required by your equipment and materials before use. Any content or material you obtain through the service is accessed at your own discretion and risk.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you. In that case, such warranties are limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.
7a. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall MyLaserTools, its owners, operators, employees, suppliers, or data providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, or for any cost of substitute goods or services, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the service or the files it generates. This applies whether the claim is based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This includes, without limitation, any damages or losses resulting from service interruptions or downtime, delays, the modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service, loss or corruption of files or data, errors or inaccuracies in generated files or data, damage to equipment or materials, or production and manufacturing outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us, if any, for the service during the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD $50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any mandatory consumer protection rights.
7b. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyLaserTools and its owners, operators, employees, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or any content you upload, generate, distribute, or sell using the service.
8. Analytics & Tracking
We may collect anonymized data about how users interact with MyLaserTools.com to improve our services. This includes:
- Page visits and usage patterns
- Tool interactions and generation events
- Device and browser types
This data is used solely for internal analytics and product development. It is not sold or shared with third parties, except trusted service providers under data protection agreements.
9. Governing Law & Changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Saskatchewan have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings locally or require different governing law. Those mandatory rights always apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice. Your continued use of MyLaserTools after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
