Making Easter carrot name tags with the Carrot Name Tag Generator
Difficulty: easy. Time: 5 minutes per tag. Best method: laser-cut orange acrylic or plywood.
The Easter basket equivalent of the stocking tag: type a Name and it becomes a carrot, with the letters connected along the tapering body and leafy greens at the top. Carrot Width scales the vegetable, Text Size balances the name inside it, and Hole Size fits your ribbon. One control panel, one cut path, endless baskets.

What You'll Need
- Laser cutting: 3 mm orange acrylic for the obvious reason, or laser-grade plywood to paint or leave natural
- Finishing: ribbon or raffia (very carrot-top) for hanging
Step 1 - Name and font
Enter the name and pick a rounded connected font. The letters merge with the carrot body, so chunky styles survive the taper better than fine scripts. Short names read best - this is a carrot, not a baguette.
Step 2 - Size the carrot
- Carrot Width around 120-150 mm makes a basket-handle tag; smaller for place settings.
- Text Size should fill the body without poking through the outline.
- Hole Size of 4 mm takes ribbon or raffia.
Step 3 - Export the SVG
Download the SVG - a single cut-ready path per carrot. Batch every cousin's name before the holiday.
Choose Your Build Method
Laser cutting
- Cut orange acrylic in one pass - done, no finishing.
- On plywood, engrave some texture lines across the body before cutting for a sketchbook look, then paint or leave raw.
- Two-color trick: cut the greens separately from green acrylic in your laser software and glue them behind the top.
- Tie to the basket handle with raffia.
Make It Yours
- One carrot per Easter basket so the egg hunt loot stays sorted.
- Place-setting carrots lying across the brunch napkins.
- A carrot garland: every grandkid's name strung along the mantel.
- Mark the vegetable garden: cut Carrots, Beets, Peas as oversized stakes (and see the Plant Stakes Maker for proper stakes).
- Pastel plywood-painted carrots for a softer spring palette.
- Mini carrots as napkin-ring charms.
- Pair with the Egg Ornament Generator for the complete Easter set.
